Your homeowner app guide
How to set up and use the Eleven Energy app
The Eleven Energy app brings battery control, solar monitoring and tariff tools together. Start with a commissioned system and the owner access arranged at handover. Menu wording can vary between app versions.
1. Get connected
- Install Eleven Energy from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Check that Eleven Energy is the developer.
- Use the account agreed with your installer. If you have not received owner access, ask us to confirm which email is linked to your installation before creating another account.
- Sign in and check your own system appears. Confirm the battery level and current solar, household and grid readings with us at handover.
- You can also use the Eleven web portal with the same login. Local Bluetooth monitoring/control is available for supported functions when near the inverter.
2. Understand the main screens
Home and energy flow
Follow the diagram to see where your electricity is going. Tap the energy-flow diagram to switch between live power and today’s energy. kW is power at that moment; kWh is energy accumulated over time.
Consumption and Stats
Review household use and the sources supplying it. Stats can show import cost and export revenue. Compare the same date range when checking your supplier’s figures; different measurement points and update intervals can produce differences.
Work Mode and timed control
Use Work Mode to review the operating strategy and available charging/discharging times. A charging period stores energy; a discharge period uses stored energy according to the selected mode. Confirm the intended behaviour with us before using forced discharge.
Energy Provider and Auto Optimisation
Supported Octopus account integration supplies tariff information. Review your connected provider and tariff, then open Auto Optimisation to review the proposed charging plan. Automatic plans depend on accurate tariff data and connectivity.
Energy Monitors and EV charging
Compatible Shelly or Tasmota devices can add appliance monitoring and control. With the appropriate EV monitoring integration, you can prevent the home battery discharging while the car charges. This needs compatible equipment and correct setup.
Local Connection and Diagnostics
Local Bluetooth functions offer a way to view system information and supported timed controls nearby. Diagnostics can help identify connection issues. Capture the message and contact us if you cannot explain a reading; leave commissioning settings to your installer.

3. Set a charging plan you can check
- Have your current import/export tariff and off-peak hours to hand. Record your existing settings.
- Choose with your installer whether to use a manual timed plan or supported automatic optimisation. Avoid introducing a competing manual schedule.
- For timed operation, review the start time, end time, action and any charge target shown. Keep the reserve and operating limits agreed at handover.
- Save, reopen the setting to confirm it, then check the following day’s graph. For example, a genuine 00:30–05:30 cheap window should be entered using those hours, rather than a generic overnight preset.
4. Watch Eleven Energy’s setup demonstration
Eleven’s dedicated homeowner app tutorials are marked “Coming Soon” in its video library at the time of checking. The official video gallery is the place to find new tariff and app demonstrations as they are released.
I cannot see my system, or the figures have stopped updating
Check the account used at handover and whether your home internet works. Tell us if you changed your router or Wi-Fi password. Send the last update time and a screenshot so we can distinguish a monitoring problem from a system fault. Do not re-commission or delete your system to restore app access.
