Our Story
Renew-Able Solutions is a family-run Scottish renewable energy and heating company based in East Lothian. We design, install and support solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, air-source and air-to-air heat pumps for homes and businesses across Edinburgh, the Lothians and wider Central and East Scotland.
Our directors, planning, installation, health and safety, and customer-support team coordinate each project from the initial enquiry and property survey through design, DNO applications where required, installation, commissioning, certification and aftercare. As an MCS-certified installer and a member of RECC, NAPIT and TrustMark, we focus on technically sound recommendations, clear communication and systems designed around each property.
What We Do
We provide solar PV and battery storage, air-source and air-to-air heat pumps, EV charging, renewable-system servicing and commercial energy solutions. Our work includes detailed site and drone surveys, DNO applications, G98 and G99 support, electrical testing, MCS certification and customer handover.
From our East Lothian base, we support customers throughout Edinburgh and across Central and Eastern Scotland with practical advice before installation and dependable aftercare once the system is operating.

Pauline oversees the business and customer experience at Renew-Able Solutions. She helps keep projects commercially sound, communication clear and the company focused on delivering dependable service from the first enquiry through to aftercare.
Robin Grainger
Head of Installations and Building Projects
Robin brings more than three decades of building-industry experience to the delivery of domestic and commercial projects. He coordinates installation and building work, supports contractors on site and maintains the quality standards expected across each project.
John Russell
HR and Health & Safety
John supports HR, health and safety and internal compliance. He helps the team maintain safe working practices, clear procedures and appropriate records across office and site activities.
Alan Valente
Director
Alan leads company direction and supports customers through the technical and commercial decisions behind renewable-energy projects. His practical approach helps ensure proposed systems suit the property, the customer’s objectives and the realities of installation.
