How to set up and use FoxCloud 2.0
Use FoxCloud 2.0 for your Fox ESS system. The available controls depend on your inverter, batteries, firmware, region and account permissions. Follow the settings agreed at handover.
1. Set up your owner account
- Download FoxCloud 2.0 from the App Store or Google Play. Existing FoxCloud users should follow Fox’s migration video below.
- For a new account, choose Register, select your region and language, review the terms, then choose Owner and complete registration.
- Ask your installer to share the commissioned Plant (your home’s system) with your account. Confirm the correct property appears before adding anything again.
- Open Home/Plant and check the latest update time, battery percentage and energy-flow arrows. If readings are old, resolve the connection before judging performance.
2. Walk through the everyday settings
Work Mode
Open Home/Plant → Work Mode. Self-use favours powering your home; Feed-in Priority favours export; Back Up retains energy for outages. Choose according to your tariff and backup design.
Battery charge limits
In Quick Settings, minimum SOC stops normal on-grid discharge; maximum SOC limits charging. Backup Cut-off SOC applies during an outage. SOC means state of charge. These are different limits.
Charging schedules
Where available, review the charge/discharge schedule with your installer. Set the intended start and finish times, check the selected action, save, and reopen the screen to confirm it. Do not copy somebody else’s tariff hours.
Monitoring and alerts
Use the energy graphs to compare days. Review Current and History alarms. Record the exact message and time when requesting help; a battery waiting at its reserve is not necessarily faulty.

4. Check your first charging day
Write down your existing settings before making a change. As an example, if your actual cheap period is 00:30–05:30, use those hours only after checking your supplier’s current plan. The next morning, check whether charging occurred inside the period and whether enough energy remains for your evening use. App cost estimates are not your supplier’s bill.
My system is missing or offline
Confirm your login region and account, check your home internet and ask us to check the plant invitation. A changed router can require the monitoring device to be reconnected; use the procedure for your exact Wi-Fi dongle. Do not delete the plant to fix an offline reading.
