The original EcoFlow RIVER Pro extra battery extends the stored energy of the matching RIVER Pro power station. It should not be confused with later RIVER generations or treated as a general-purpose add-on.
What capacity does the RIVER Pro extra battery provide?
The earlier RIVER Pro has 720Wh nominal capacity. Its matching 720Wh extra battery takes the combined total to 1,440Wh. Available energy at an appliance is lower after losses and operating reserves. Confirm these details against the labels and manuals for both units.
Does expansion increase appliance power?
Additional capacity mainly extends runtime. It does not remove the power station’s output limit or an appliance’s startup requirements. Check all devices you want to run together, especially equipment with motors or heating elements.
Who might use this arrangement?
An owner of the original RIVER Pro may value longer runtime for portable loads. Before buying an older expansion battery, compare condition, storage history, warranty and price with a complete supported alternative. Similar connectors or a shared brand name do not establish compatibility.
Plan how you will recharge during a trip. Solar input is weather-dependent, and a larger battery needs more energy to refill. Keep equipment within the manual’s environmental limits.
