Ohme Home Pro features and dimensions
The UK Home Pro model listed by Ohme provides up to 7.4kW / 32A single-phase charging. It has a tethered Type 2 cable, normally 5m, with an 8m option. The enclosure measures 170mm high × 200mm wide × 100mm deep; allow additional space for the cable and safe access. Actual charging speed depends on the vehicle and supply.

Is Ohme Home Pro compatible with Intelligent Octopus Go?

Does the Ohme Home Pro connect to Wi-Fi?
The UK Home Pro shown on Ohme’s product page connects through a multi-network 4G SIM. That model does not need your home Wi-Fi for its cloud connection. Mobile coverage at the charger matters, so we check the proposed location. Confirm the exact hardware variant when comparing products or troubleshooting an existing installation.
Can the Ohme Home Pro charge from solar panels?
Yes, eligible Home Pro installations support Solar Boost. Ohme says most complete setups installed from January 2023 onwards can support solar charging. Eligibility depends on the equipment, a working CT clamp and the available app and firmware features; older units need an individual check.
Solar Boost uses surplus generation and can also draw grid electricity to meet your charging target. Check the modes available in your app before assuming solar-only operation. If you have a home battery, its discharge settings must be coordinated with EV charging to avoid unintentionally emptying it into the car.

What does an installation include?
Assessment and quotation: we review the supply, consumer unit, earthing, cable route, parking position, mobile signal and any solar or battery equipment. Your proposal identifies the selected charger, agreed work, exclusions and any additional work.
Installation and commissioning: the agreed scope covers electrical installation, appropriate protection and load management, testing, commissioning, app setup and customer handover. We address the relevant DNO notification or application requirements.
Extra cable runs, groundworks, supply alterations or changes to the consumer unit can affect cost and programme. We confirm these for the property rather than promise a universal installation time or a fixed package that may not fit.
