Eleven Energy
Sodium-ion technology with a practical cold-weather advantage. Eleven Energy pairs its hybrid inverters with Galvani sodium-ion batteries. Sodium provides an alternative to lithium for storing electricity at home.
Galvani is specified to charge down to −20°C and discharge down to −30°C. That is particularly interesting for Scottish properties with an outdoor battery or an unheated garage. Charging power can reduce in very cold conditions; the two temperature limits are different.
The 4.5kWh modules stack neatly, with up to four batteries in a physical stack. The total number per inverter depends on its battery inputs and approved configuration.
We were the first installer in Scotland to install Eleven Energy’s sodium-ion technology and have since completed many installations that work well for our customers.

Fox ESS
A compelling price point for a capable solar and battery system. Fox ESS is a brand we consider when customers want to balance the initial investment with the storage and inverter performance their home needs.
Its range includes single-phase and three-phase hybrid inverters, compatible batteries and options for adding storage to existing solar. FoxCloud provides app and web monitoring, so you can follow generation, battery activity and household energy use.
We value the ability to build a sensible specification around the customer’s budget. Value still needs a fair comparison: usable battery capacity, inverter output, backup equipment, installation work and warranty terms should all be included.
We quote the complete system for your property. Fox ESS is our value-focused option, rather than a promise that every Fox configuration costs less than every competing system.

AI energy management
Sigenergy
A connected energy system that can plan around your home. Sigen AI uses information such as electricity prices, weather and household consumption to help decide when to store or use energy. It brings automation to decisions that would otherwise need regular manual adjustment.
The mySigen app shows how electricity moves between solar, the battery, your home and the grid. Its AI assistant can also help explain system information. These are useful features for customers who want both an overview and more detailed control.
SigenStor brings compatible inverter, battery and optional DC EV charging equipment into one system. A suitable Energy Gateway can support a designed backup arrangement.
We check that the selected tariff, region, equipment and app version support the functions you want. AI can help optimise operation, but the result still depends on prices, weather and how your household uses electricity.

Tariff optimisation
Tesla Powerwall
Smart charging built around the value of your electricity. Tesla’s tariff-based controls can charge Powerwall when electricity is less expensive and use stored energy when prices rise. Tesla’s current UK guidance calls this Savings mode; you may also encounter Time-Based Control terminology.
Once the tariff is configured, the Tesla app brings solar generation, home consumption, battery status and backup reserve together. Powerwall also receives software updates that can improve or add features over time.
Powerwall 3 includes an integrated solar inverter. Compatible expansion packs offer a route to more stored energy, while a properly specified Gateway arrangement can provide backup when the grid goes down.
We assess import and export permissions, tariff compatibility and the reserve you want to retain. Savings depend on the tariff and your usage; adding battery capacity does not automatically increase inverter output.

We can review the symptoms and available monitoring data, check settings where appropriate, and work with the manufacturer’s technical team when needed. If a site visit, replacement part or warranty claim is required, we explain the process and any applicable charges.
At handover, we explain your app, operating modes and the relevant warranty information. Cover and response arrangements depend on the selected product and service agreement. Our solar PV and battery servicing service can also help keep an existing installation in good condition.

A system designed around your home
A good proposal connects the equipment to your daily life. We review electricity use, roof layout, available space, electrical supply and future plans. We also distinguish capacity in kWh from power in kW: one describes stored energy, while the other limits what the system can supply at a given moment.

Which system should I choose?
Consider Eleven Energy for sodium-ion storage and cold-weather charging, Fox ESS for a value-focused specification, Sigenergy for AI energy management and an integrated system, or Tesla Powerwall for tariff optimisation and its app. A survey helps us compare the complete installed designs.
Who helps if my solar or battery system develops a fault?
Contact Renew-Able Solutions first. We help assess the issue, review monitoring data where available and coordinate with the relevant manufacturer when technical or warranty support is needed. The repair process, cover and any charges depend on the fault, warranty and service agreement.
Can all four systems provide backup power?
Suitable models can support a designed backup arrangement. The necessary gateway or EPS equipment, isolation and backup circuits must be included and commissioned. Battery capacity alone does not confirm that a home will stay powered during an outage.
Can a battery save money without new solar panels?
A suitable battery can be added to many existing solar systems or designed for off-peak grid charging. The benefit depends on tariff differences, consumption, conversion losses and the installed cost. We assess compatibility and likely use before recommending a system.
