Wallbox Pulsar Plus is a compact tethered EV charger with app-based controls. This guide covers the earlier Pulsar Plus family; use the exact UK model number when comparing it with newer Wallbox products or another charger.
Wallbox Pulsar Plus features
The manufacturer’s November 2022 Pulsar Plus datasheet lists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, app and portal controls, and a halo status indicator. Charging power, connector and protection arrangements depend on the variant.
A three-phase rating does not mean a single-phase home can charge at that speed. The vehicle’s onboard AC charger and the available supply also limit charging.
What does Power Boost do?
Power Boost is load management: with the required metering and setup, it adjusts EV demand in response to household consumption. It does not create extra supply capacity or make the vehicle accept a higher charging rate than its limit.
Can it charge from solar?
Eco-Smart provides solar-related charging controls on compatible configurations. The required meter, wiring, firmware and settings must be checked. Consult Wallbox’s Power Boost and Eco-Smart documentation through your installer.
If you also have a home battery, coordinate the controls so charging does not unintentionally draw stored electricity. Compare the value of solar export with the cost of charging at other times.
What about existing installations?
Keep the serial number, commissioning details and installer records. Use support instructions for the exact charger generation. Avoid assuming that features, warranty terms or electrical protection from another Pulsar model apply to yours.
