Why choose myenergi zappi?
Zappi can charge from the electricity grid, surplus solar generation, or a combination. You do not need solar panels to install one. Its single-phase home models deliver up to 7.4kW, subject to your vehicle and electrical supply. Choose a tethered Type 2 cable for everyday convenience or an untethered model if you prefer to use a separate lead. Your quote confirms the exact model.
The current range offers app control and Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity. Its ECO, ECO+ and FAST charging modes let you choose how charging uses available power. ECO+ can pause charging when surplus generation is insufficient, while FAST prioritises charging at the available rate.
Does zappi work with Intelligent Octopus Go?
Yes, with the correct hardware, firmware and setup. Charger-based integration needs reliable internet access; myenergi specifies suitable firmware and ECO+ mode for this route. Existing timers can conflict with smart charging, so we help you check the configuration. A vehicle-based integration uses different settings, including FAST mode.
We check your exact charger and car using Octopus’s current eligibility checker. You also need an eligible electricity account and a suitable smart meter sending half-hourly readings. Using zappi with solar panels and a home battery
Zappi is a useful option if you have solar panels or plan to add them. We assess the monitoring equipment and CT connections needed to measure surplus generation. If you have a home battery, we also review how the systems share available power.
Myenergi supports solar diversion with its charger-based Octopus integration when configured correctly. Your chosen integration route matters: we explain the appropriate settings for your installation. Charging from surplus solar can reduce grid purchases, although the financial benefit also depends on any export payment you give up.
Warranty: three years, with an optional extension
Zappi has a three-year manufacturer warranty, subject to myenergi’s terms. Register the product and retain your proof of purchase. An optional extension to five years is available for eligible chargers; this is separate from our standard guide price. Your written quotation confirms any extension included.
Zappi installation guide price: £1,099
Our standard-installation price list includes charger supply and labour, based on a maximum 10m installation cable run. This run is separate from the charging lead between the unit and your car.
The written quotation confirms your exact zappi model, charging lead, VAT treatment, installation scope and any extras. Additional cable, groundworks, supply or consumer-unit alterations and specialist integration can change the total. Optional accessories and extended warranty cover are quoted separately.
